President, Orenco Composites

Title: Innovative Resins and Construction of Fire-resistant Composite Building Structures


This presentation shows how novel construction techniques combined with new fire-resistant, easily processable resin has successfully passed full scale burn tests. This project was enabled by IACMI Resource Pool funding.



Marianne Clayton

Research and Development Engineer, IsoTruss

Title: Composite Lattice IsoTruss Structures for Wind Turbine Towers


This project, funded by the IACMI Resource Pool, shows promising results for replacing large, heavy steel towers on wind turbines with lightweight composite structures.


Jeff Sloan

Brand Vice President, CompositesWorld

Title: Carbon Fiber Industrialization and Commoditization


CompositesWorld Publisher and Brand Vice President Jeff Sloan looks ahead to CW’s annual Carbon Fiber Conference, Nov. 28-30, in Salt Lake City, and discusses the technical and market forces that are driving the evolution of CFRP application. He will discuss end markets that are, increasingly, forcing composites fabricators and OEMs towards industrialization and automation, and preview some of the presentations at the Carbon Fiber Conference that will touch on these themes.
